Q. How will the charge appear on my credit card /debit card statement?
A. We process all orders via Regsoft Inc or ShareIt!.
Your credit statement will show a charge from "Regsoft Inc" or "ShareIt!".
Q. Can I get the product on a CD-ROM?
A. Absolutely! Products in a CD-ROM is optional for some extra charge.
You can select "Yes" to CD-ROM option in the order form, and we will send the
CD within a week's time. You still can convert your downloaded
copy to full version using the license code.
If you have NOT opted for CD-Delivery option, you will NOT receive
any boxed product for the purchase. In that case it will be a download-only
purchase.
Q. When will I receive my CD-ROM on Demand?
A. If you have opted for CD-Delivery, please expect to receive it within 3 weeks.

data sent by you can only be read by the recipient. Important
information such as credit card numbers, addresses, etc. is sent to the
recipient securely via the Internet. All of the data entered on the protected pages is
encrypted(means jumbled-up using extremely complicated mathematical formula) using the SSL
protocol. That way no 3rd party can view your credit card numbers, addresses or any information you send us.

Q. How do I find which version of CaptureXT I am running?
A. Run CaptureXT, go to "Help" menu and then "About..." submenu. The version
number appears on the About Window.
Q. How do I capture a pull down menu or right-click menu?
A. Go to Tools-->Options menu, and set the hotkey(s) to SHIFT(or CTRL)+something
else. Then go to your desired application, pull down the menu and press the hot
key.
Q. When I save my image as JPG, how can I increase the image quality?
A. Go to Tools-->Options menu, and enter JPG Quality.
Quality 1 means poor
quality but smallest file size.
Quality 100 means highest quality but biggest
file size.
You can enter any number from 1-100 depending on your need.
Q. What is the difference between the trial and the full versions?
A. The Trial Version contains welcome screen that displays how much time is left in
the trial period, and allows you to conveniently purchase the product if you
want. All other functionalities are same. But after the trial period is over,
many important features are disabled. Then you need to
purchase the product to reactivare all the features with the
welcome screen removed.
Q. What is a Hot Key?
A. A Hot Key is a single or a combination of keys that can be pressed from within
any windows application to initiate the actions of other applications like
CaptureXT. The default Hot Keys for CaptureXT is Ctrl + Q.
This means, you can
start CaptureXT (and optionally minimize it to System Tray) and then
hit Ctrl + Q(press Ctrl key and then press Q) from anywhere to capture a rectangular area. You
can choose your own hot key combination from the options window (Tools -> Options menu).
You can also choose not to have any hot key for CaptureXT by unchecking
"Enable Hotkey Capture" check box.
Q. How do I copy the captured image to the Windows clipboard?
A. Go to File-->Copy to Clipboard or just press Ctrl+Shift+C
If you have not drawn a selection box in your image, then just press Ctrl+C to
copy the entire image to clipboard. If there is any selection box, then Ctrl+C
will copy only the selected area to clipboard.
Q. I am getting a black image after a simple capture or during movie capture.
A.
This could be due to "hardware overlay" issue. This often happens when you try to
capture movies or in some cases it could be due to
"Hardware acceleration" setting in your displace device.
Please try this:
Disable "Hardware acceleration" from your display properties.
For Windows XP/95/98/Me/2000/2003
- Go to Control Panel, open "Display"
- Click on Settings tab, and then click on Advanced button.
- Click on Troubleshoot tab.
- Drag the Hardware acceleration bar to the left, makeing it "none".
- Click on OK button.
For Windows Vista
- Go to Control Panel, then to Personalization, open Display
Settings window.
- Click on Advanced Settings button on the Display Settings page.
- Click on Troubleshoot tab.
- Click on Change Settings button.
- Drag the Hardware acceleration bar to the left, makeing it "none".
- Click OK and close all settings windows.
For Windows 7
- Go to Start / Control Panel /
- Under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution
- Click on Advanced Settings link.
- Click on Troubleshoot tab.
- Click on Change Settings button.
- Drag the Hardware acceleration bar to the left, makeing it "none".
- Click OK and close all settings windows.
- Restart Windows.
If you get black image while capturing movie then try this:
For Windows media player Version 11.x
- Go to menu Tools/Options, select Performance tab.
- Move "Video Acceleration" slide to none.
- Click Ok and re-start Windows media player.
For QuickTime Version 7.x
- Go to menu "Edit->Preferences->Quick Time Preferences".
- In "QuickTime Settings" page, select "Advanced" tab at the top.
- Check the option "Safe Mode (GDI Only)" in the Video section
- Re-start QuickTime Player.
For Real Player
- Select manu "Tools->Perferences".
- From the "Category" area in the left, click on "Hardware".
- Then Under "Video card compatibility", uncheck "Best performance",
- Move the slide to "Most reliable" to disable optimized video and overlays.
- Click ok and restart RealPlayer.
